01 / Work

Two builds you can check

Open them. Read them. Decide for yourself whether the work is worth applying for. There is nothing else on this page: no testimonials, no logo wall, no numbers we cannot show you the source of.

The Nonprofit Web Grant is new. Nobody has been awarded through it yet, so there are no grant sites to show you.

What we can show you is the work that came before it. Both are public safety organizations, which is the sector this program knows best. Both agreed to be named here. We asked first.

When the first grant sites go live, they will be listed on this page as the first cohort, and only with each organization's permission.

02 / The builds

Named, with permission

Each row is the organization, what it does, and the sector. Where a public address is listed, the name is a link.

03 / What is missing

The parts we left out

A short true page is worth more to a board than a long impressive one. Here is what a portfolio page usually has that this one does not, and why.

  • No Testimonials or quotes. We do not have signed quotes from these organizations. Writing one would be the easiest thing on this page to fake, so nothing appears.
  • No Traffic or donation figures. We did not run a controlled measurement of any of these sites. A number we cannot source is worse than no number.
  • No Screenshots. Sites change after handover, because the organization owns them. A stale screenshot would misrepresent what you would find if you clicked.
  • No Partner or funder logos. No foundation, agency or nonprofit endorses this program. Placing a logo here would imply one does.
  • No An award count. Awards are made as capacity allows. There is no quota to publish and no countdown to run.

What lands here next

Status
The Nonprofit Web Grant has made no awards yet. The two builds above predate it.
First cohort
The organizations awarded first will be listed on this page as the first cohort, in the same format as the rows above.
Permission
We ask before we name anyone. If you would rather not appear, say so and you will not.
The trade
The build is donated and hosting is $25 a month for the first 12 months, then $50. Pointing at the finished work is the other half of why this program exists.

05 / Apply

Be in the first cohort

Rolling. No deadline. A decision within 2 weeks of a complete application. The build is donated and hosting is $25 a month for the first 12 months, then $50.

Nobody will call you to close a deal. The phone and the email are support channels.
